Our Commitment

The Ghana Sociological and Anthropological Association is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.

What We Have Done

• Used semantic HTML5 elements throughout the site
• Provided ARIA labels and roles for interactive elements
• Ensured all form fields have associated labels
• Made the site keyboard-navigable
• Used sufficient colour contrast ratios
• Provided text alternatives for non-decorative images
• Ensured the site is responsive across screen sizes
• Used focus indicators for keyboard navigation

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations that we are working to address:

• Some older PDF documents in the publications archive may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these.
• Some data tables on the site may not have full screen reader support. This is being addressed.
